Pembina Attractions
Pembina is a great little town, very quiet, very safe, with very great people who always find something to do. Most of us like living here as we like things quiet and safe. While this page can’t give you real-life experience, I encourage you to scroll on down and get a little taste of what Pembina has to offer.
We Have a Great Restaurant
Great food. Very Convenient. Less than one block away. Check out their menu. They are the Bridge: Bridgestone Bar and Grill
We Have a State Museum as Well
Pembina is the oldest settlement in Dakota Territory, the name of this land before North or South Dakota would have been found. For a short period of time, Pembina was even in Canada, until the border surveyors ended up ruining it all (spoken tongue in cheek). From the oxcart to the river boat, from the natives to the immigrants to the furriers of the great Hudson’s Bay, the State Museum tells it all.
There are the Area Churches
We have the Evangelical Free Church (top left), the Methodist Church (top right), the Catholic Church (bottom left) and the historic Ukrainian Orthodox Church (bottom right), which no longer has a living congregation. These churches would love to have you worship with them. Services are on Sunday and there are various other meetings throughout the week. Check out the calendar on the Catholic Church link above for times of Catholic Mass. The Ukrainian Orthodox Church is seldom used and its building belongs to the Fort Pembina Historical Society.
The Fort Pembina Historical Society
Manages the old Customs and Border Patrol office bulding. A beautiful building built in 1931, it houses several offices and is often used for hosting various pop-up markets and other special events
